Located on Black Sturgeon Lake 15 minutes north of Kenora, the Beauty Bay Golf Course is a hidden gem in Northwestern Ontario. Operating from April to October, the golf course is an integral part of the Beauty Bay community.
As a member of our management team, you would oversee the operation of the clubhouse which includes the pro-shop, the kitchen, the golf cart fleet and the hiring and supervision of clubhouse staff. The Manager – Clubhouse Operations, is charged with managing and growing the customer focused business operations of the Beauty Bay Golf Course.


The position reports directly to the Board of Directors through the Chairman of the Golf Course Committee.


Responsibilities for this position:
• Must be able to work early morning hours, weekends and holidays
• Smart Serve and Food Handler Certificate required
• Proficient in POS systems and Tee time booking software programs
• Hire, mentor and manage employees required to manage Clubhouse operations including but not limited to equipment rentals incidental to customers golfing experience
• Create and maintain staff schedules and organize and oversee golf tournament and events
• Proactively market the Beauty Bay Golf course through traditional and social mediums with the objective of growing golf course net returns
• Prepare and execute staffing plans to achieve a positive customer experience
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees
• Implement safe working conditions and monitor adherence to these conditions
• Execution of Maintenance and Repair of all Clubhouse equipment and Golf Carts consistent with approved budget.
• Ordering for all food and beverage related to regular operations and special events
• Keep Employer informed of activities on a regular basis with particular emphasis on issues that have implications for the reputation of the golf course
• Develop a can-do culture focused on achieving positive customer experiences
• Incorporate appropriate controls to protect the financial performance of the Golf Course
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage
• Proactively collaborate with Golf Course Superintendent to improve customer experiences


Financial Management and Budgeting:
• Develop and manage the annual golf department budget, including labor costs, supplies, amenities, and guest services.
• Track and analyze financial performance, including revenue, distribution of total golf rounds, and expenses, and implement strategies to meet financial targets.
• Oversee inventory levels for retail shop supplies and ensure regular restocking.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure that quality products are ordered at the best possible prices.

Position Requirements:
• Previous Golf Leadership experience is required.
• Previous leadership experience is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Window applications required.
• Proficient in Club Prophet (POS) is an asset.
• Full Drivers License is required.
• University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
• Must possess a professional presentation.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.


Renumeration:
This is a full-time position and compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
