POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of our Communications & Marketing team, the Communications Coordinator will play a key role in bringing the NGCOA Canada’s Digital presence to life. Reporting to the Director, Communications, Systems & Administration and working closely with the Manager, Communications & Digital Marketing, this position supports a wide range of communications and marketing initiatives across email, website, and social media platforms.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly creative, comfortable working with digital tools and eager to build their skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
About NGCOA Canada
The National Golf Course Owners Association Canada (NGCOA Canada) is a not-for-profit trade association that provides business support, advocacy, purchasing programs, research, education, and networking opportunities to golf course operators nationwide.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Email Communications:
• Build, format, and schedule email communications using approved layouts and templates
• Support day-to-day communications and marketing initiatives across multiple channels
• Manage and maintain email distribution lists
• Schedule communications and manage unsubscribe requests within the email platform
• Coordinate the internal review and approval process prior to distribution
• Support the coordination of translated communications materials as directed
Website & Digital Content:
• Complete day-to-day updates and content reviews for ngcoa.ca
• Upload and update communications-related website content
• Create simple digital assets (images/graphics) for website use, following approved brand standards
• Assist with updating project specific websites
• Provide assistance with reports and presentations as needed (e.g., formatting, updates, coordination)
• Design and disseminate staff email signatures using approved formats and branding
Social Media:
• Coordinate day-to-day posting across NGCOA Canada social media channels
• Create basic graphic and video assets for social media posts
• Monitor Facebook group membership requests & coordinate approval process
• Assist with social media posts for other projects and initiatives as needed
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong written communication and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Knowledge of key social media platforms and best practices including analytics principles
• Tech savvy: ability to quickly learn new software and troubleshoot
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
• Knowledge of Constant Contact, Vimeo, Canva, Metricool, & Google Analytics is an asset
• Bilingualism is an asset
