Term Position – 40.00 hours per week, the schedule with include days, evenings and weekends. Anticipated employment from May to October 2025.
Hourly Wage: $30.00-35.00 per hour with benefits as per the Employment Standards Act.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Course Superintendent will be responsible for the planning, maintenance, and management of all golf course greens, fairways, bunkers, landscapes and related areas. The Course Superintendent manages the daily operations, supervising the grounds maintenance staff and ensuring the course meets top-quality playing conditions while promoting and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, members and guests on the property.
Position Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Turf Grass Management or related field.
• Must have at least three (3) years of golf course experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role
• Possess valid “Pesticide License” (IPM).
• Strong supervisory experience in a golf course management setting.
• Operate and maintain a variety of small and large equipment including mowers, aerators, sprayers, utility vehicles and turf equipment
• Ability to maintain and repair irrigation equipment as well as other golf course equipment.
• Daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough as required.
• Approach responsibilities in an organized and energetic manner.
• Flexible to work weekdays, weekends and holidays at discretionary hours
• Have a valid class “G” driver’s license.
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and submit a clean criminal background check and driver’s abstract at their own expense prior to start date.
