Equipment Manager/Mechanic

The equipment manager/mechanic is responsible for the daily maintenance of all golf course equipment including the clubs golf carts.

Requirements
• Must have experience in small engine repair, diesel engines, welding, electrical diagnosis, general knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical components in starters, engines, batteries etc.
• Experience in grinding reels and bedknives and replacing seals and bearings
• Ability to keep accurate maintenance records of all repairs and ensure all equipment is ready to go when not out on the golf course.
• Ability and willingness to train staff on all golf course equipment
• Ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment at all times
• Inspect and maintain fleet of 90 golf carts
• Operate all department equipment in a responsible safe manner at all times
• Act as an ambassador for Metcalfe Golf and as a role model for staff at all times
• Maintain a pleasant and professional manner at all times when addressing employees’ contractors, sales personnel and or any guests
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
• Al least 2 Years working as a mechanic is required
• At least 2 years working on a golf course is an asset, but not required
• Must be able to fabricate tools and equipment
• Must be able to weld
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
• Work flexible hours as required including early mornings, nights/weekends and holidays

Compensation:
Full time salaried position for 12 month a year will be paid based on experience and qualifications
