Equipment Manager/Mechanic

Job Purpose and Mandate: Is responsible for the daily maintenance of all golf course equipment including the club’s golf carts and beverage carts.

Requirements:
● Must have experience in small engine repair, diesel engines, welding, electrical diagnosis, and general knowledge of hydraulic systems;
● Ability to keep accurate maintenance records of all repairs and ensure all equipment is ready to go when not out on the golf course;.
● Inspect and maintain fleet of 120 golf carts;
● Experience in grinding reels and bed knives and replacing seals and bearings;
● Operate all department equipment in a responsible safe manner at all times;
● Maintain a pleasant and professional manner at all times when addressing employees, contractors, sales personnel, and clients;
● Act as an ambassador for Greensmere Golf Club and as a role model for staff at all times; and
● Other duties that arise or may be assigned.

Qualifications:
● Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation;
● At least 5 years working as a mechanic;
● Must be able to fabricate tools and equipment;
● Ability to weld would be an asset;
● Ability to analyse and solve problems; and
● Efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.

Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
