We have an interesting and diverse job for you! A hybrid mix of course maintenance and golf cart attendant! You won't be bored and will learn many skills to serve you in your future endeavors! Daily tasks will revolve, dependent on course needs, and of course your hours will increase as we move into the busy season.
Golf Cart Staff (Attendants & Technicians)
These staff members manage the cart fleet and directly impact the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities: Clean, charge, stock, stage, and park golf carts, maintain inventory reporting logs.
Customer Service: Assist guests with cart rentals, provide course information, and sometimes assist with golf bags.
Maintenance: Monitor battery water levels (for lead-acid) and perform, minor repairs.
Safety & Organization: Maintain the cart shop in a clean, orderly manner and report, larger, maintenance issues.
Requirements: A valid driver's license is often required, as is, a friendly demeanor and the ability to work outdoors.
Junior Course Maintenance Staff (Grounds Crew)
This crew is responsible for the aesthetic and playability of the course, often starting as early as 5 am.
Daily Tasks: Mow greens, tees, and fairways, rake bunkers, change hole locations, and move tee markers.
Physical Labor: General labor duties including, using a weed whip, operating mowers, hauling debris, and, manual, tasks like, shoveling.
Landscaping: Trim turf around trees and bunker edges.
Environmental Care: Apply fertilizer, monitor, irrigation systems, and, control, pests.
Requirements: No experience is often required, as training is provided, though, interest, in turf management, is beneficial.
Skills and Working Conditions
Hours: Long, early morning shifts are common (e.g., 5 am to 12 pm OR 2 pm to 9 pm), weekends included!
Physical Demands: Heavy, work, involving, standing, walking, bending, and lifting for 8-9 hours a day.
Work Environment: Outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Key Traits: Strong work ethic, ability to work in a team, and ability to work efficiently around golfers.
