Job Details/Qualifications

Cedar Ridge Golf Course is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Golf Course Superintendent / Head Groundskeeper to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of our golf course.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in maintaining high-quality playing conditions and is comfortable working independently, managing a small grounds crew, and keeping the course operating smoothly.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily maintenance and overall condition of the golf course
- Plan and coordinate mowing, trimming, fertilizing, aerating, spraying, and other turf maintenance
- Manage and monitor the irrigation system, including troubleshooting leaks, programming, and repairs
- Identify and address turf, drainage, irrigation, and general course maintenance issues
- Safely handle and apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf products as required
- Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment
- Coordinate equipment servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Supervise, train, and organize groundskeeping staff
- Establish daily and weekly work priorities based on course conditions and weather
- Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, maintenance activities, and equipment
- Maintain the golf course to provide an enjoyable and well-presented experience for members and guests

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous golf course maintenance or turf management experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an asset
- Strong knowledge of turf care, irrigation, and golf course maintenance
- Experience operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment
- Pesticide applicator certification, or willingness to obtain certification, is an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding daily course maintenance
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to be hands-on when needed
