Overview
The Head Chef/Kitchen Manager leads the culinary operations at Southbrook Golf Club, overseeing menu development, kitchen culture, food quality, and cost control. This role is both hands-on and strategic, playing a major role in elevating the club’s food and beverage offering.
This is an exciting time to join Southbrook as we are renovating our clubhouse and halfway hut, and this position will play a pivotal role in creating new menus and shaping the future of the food and event program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations including preparation, service, and cleanliness
- Develop menus for regular service, events, and tournaments
- Manage food costs, ordering, inventory, and waste control
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with management on new concepts, specials, and events
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of cost control and menu engineering
- Passion for quality food and consistency
