Job Title: Line Cook
Location: Copper Point Golf Club (The View Restaurant)
Department: Kitchen
Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef/ Chef De Partie.
Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency during service. This role supports daily clubhouse dining as well as tournaments, events, and private functions in a fast-paced golf hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Work efficiently on assigned kitchen stations (Grill, Fry, Prep, Salad.)
- Assist with food preparation before service, including mise en place.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with chefs and team members during service.
- Assist with stock rotation, labeling, and minimizing food waste.
- Properly handle kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and special events.
- Helping and Supporting Dishwasher to Clean the Dish Area During Closing.
- Through Cleaning of Kitchen, Sweeping & Moping Every night during Busy Operation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
Qualifications
- Culinary training or kitchen experience (preferred but not essential).
- Food Safety & Hygiene certification (required or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment
