Metcalfe Golf Club is a friendly, family-owned club located just south of Ottawa, known for its welcoming atmosphere, scenic golf course, and great food. We’re looking for  fun, hardworking individuals to join our kitchen team for the upcoming golf season!

Position Summary
The Seasonal Line / Banquet Cook plays an important role in delivering quality meals and great service to our guests and members. This position involves preparing à la carte meals, assisting with banquet service, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The ideal candidate enjoys teamwork, takes pride in their food, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of à la carte menu items and daily specials.
• Assist with banquet preparation, plating, and service for events.
• Supervise and support cooks and dishwashing staff during service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain proper kitchen cleaning, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Follow all health and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a line cook and/or banquet cook (required).
• Food Handler Certification or equivalent (an asset).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation — the club is not accessible by public transit.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage: $18.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience.
• Tip-out from restaurant and banquet operations.
