The Director of Golf provides strategic and operational leadership for all golf operations at Glen Arbour Golf Course. This role ensures exceptional golf experiences for members and guests through high‑quality programming, professional staff leadership, operational efficiency, and revenue generation. This pertains to our 18-hole championship course, Par 3 course, golf simulators and all golf facilities.

How you’ll spend your day:

  • Deliver an exceptional member experience by building positive relationships, responding promptly to communications, leading service improvement initiatives, and representing the club professionally at events.
  • Oversee daily golf operations including tee sheets, pace of play, course usage, practice facilities, golf cart fleet, simulator operations, and Par 3 course performance, while upholding safety standards.
  • Coordinate closely with maintenance to ensure course setup, conditions, traffic flow, and event readiness align with operational needs.
  • Lead all coaching, instruction, and player development programs, including junior golf, lessons, clinics, and supervision of teaching professionals to PGA of Canada standards.
  • Plan and execute leagues, tournaments, simulator programming, and external events, including registration, scoring, rules administration, and reporting.
  • Support pro shop operations including merchandising, demo days, fittings, club repair services, and achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor Golf Professional and Outside Services teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and safety.
  • Manage departmental budgeting, revenue forecasting, financial reporting, and growth across all revenue streams using POS and golf management systems.


What will help you thrive:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a golf management or senior golf operations role.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Professional Golf Management, Business Administration, Sports/Recreation Management, Hospitality, or related fields considered an asset.
  • PGA of Canada Professional and/or Class A Certification or international recognized equivalent in good standing considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop professional and operational teams in a member‑focused golf environment
  • Strong capability to manage multiple functional areas while maintaining accountability, operational consistency, and high-performance standards
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, members, and internal teams.
  • Customer-focused; approachable and adept at handling customer feedback and ensuring service excellence.
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making skills, with the ability to address issues proactively and drive continuous improvement.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to utilize golf management systems and analyze data (Lightspeed POS, Golf Genius, Trackman, Golf Cart GPS Systems).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
